The Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is pleased to host the 2009 NCLF and we encourage you to mark down the date on your calendar now.  We are excited to provide you with a festival that will be filled with amazing and wonderfully talented authors - North Carolina favorites as well as local emerging writers, well-known and up and coming southern writers, as well as gifted writers from across the country.  Many celebrated keynotes will be featured throughout the festival and we promise that the most challenging task will be deciding on which author sessions to attend!

The 2009 Festival will be varied in content and will include readings and discussions, exhibits, performances, book signings, lectures and book sales.  For those of you under the age of twelve, we will have a stage and activity area dedicated solely to you!  Artistic and musical performances are also components of the Festival.  Specific details can be found on the appropriate pages of this website.

During the months leading up to the festival we will continually update this website, so please re-visit the site for additional details as the festival nears.

*The North Carolina Literary Festival is cooperatively organized and sponsored by the libraries of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University and Duke University, and is held every other year with the location rotating among the three University campuses.
