Authors on the Road is a component of the NCLF and is designed to bring the festival to the state of North Carolina and to further highlight our talented North Carolina authors. The Authors on the Road program details and participating writers are as follows:

In collaboration with the State Library of North Carolina and presented by Our State magazine, Authors on the Road will serve six libraries throughout the state: Pack Memorial Library (Asheville), Patrick Beaver Memorial Library (Hickory), Forsyth County Public Library (Winston-Salem), Cumberland County Public Library and Information Center (Fayetteville), Sheppard Memorial Library (Greenville) and the New Hanover County Public Library (Wilmington). With input from each library, a North Carolina and NCLF author will visit each area to participate in a reading and discussion program one to three weeks prior to the NCLF. Each library will host one author, and a total of six authors will participate in the program.
