Joan Medlicott
Born in the US Virgin Islands, Joan Medlicott served as Director of Beautification for the VI Government for many years before moving to Florida, where she obtained a Master's Degree in counseling. In Boca Raton, Medlicott worked for the Mae Volen Senior Center and developed programs such as Friendly Visitors for home bound elderly and a LifeTime Learning program for active retirees. Joan began writing at age 60 and has eleven novels to her credit, nine of which comprise the popular Ladies of Covington series. This December, Christmas Past and Present, her second holiday ladies' novel and the tenth ladies novel, will be published. Twenty years ago, Medlicott moved from Florida to the Asheville area where she lives with her husband, Eben, and four dogs.
