Carrie Ryan
Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Carrie Ryan is a graduate of Williams College and Duke University School of Law. A former litigator, she recently decided to pursue her true passion and now writes full-time. She lives with her husband, two fat cats, and one large puppy in Charlotte, North Carolina. Although Ryan’s 2009 debut novel, The Forest of Hands and Teeth, is set in a world roamed by the living dead, before meeting her husband JP, Ryan was actually a self-proclaimed “scaredy-cat” who hated horror movies (ask her about her Poltergeist incident of 1983). JP was the one who convinced Carrie to go to her first zombie movie (she says she must have been trying to impress him) and opened a whole new world up to Carrie. This book is dedicated to him.
