Judy Schachner
Judy Schachner has received many letters from parents and teachers confessing their love for Skippyjon Jones. This New York Times bestselling series has received numerous awards and honors, including the inaugural E.B. White Read Aloud Award for 2004. In addition to being the Mamalita behind Skippyjon, Judy Schachner is the author and illustrator of The Grannyman, Yo, Vikings!, and Willy and May. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, she graduated from the Massachusetts School of Art in 1973 with a B.F.A. in illustration. Judy Schachner lives in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania with her family, a dog and two Siamese cats.
